Yo, Dan & John,

Here is another article with some more jabs by Putin.
http://msnbc.msn.com/id/12355000/

I swear, when I first read that article, it also went into how Putin compared Bush\'s spreading of democracy to Afghanistan and Iraq to the colonial period, when it was the \'white man\'s burden\' to civilize then peoples in their colonies. Now it is gone, but I found this aticle in the LA Times (BTW this was the only major American media source to come up when I googled \'Putin colon* democracy\').

http://www.latimes.com/news/printedition/asection/la-fg-otherrussia13jul13,1,3603752.story?coll=la-news-a_section

Also from the G8 summit, here is an article about the Open Mic Incident. It\'s funny, though somewhat disconcerting that he thinks that this is simply Hezbollah\'s fault, as if they are not being provoked. We typicaly get Israel\'s side in the American media. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060717/ap_on_go_pr_wh/g8_summit_bush_overheard;_ylt=AszuQYgsXzXAfZhP4FTcgQus0NUE;_ylu=X3oDMTA3OXIzMDMzBHNlYwM3MDM-

I also first read an article abgout the Open Mic on MSNBC, and it was funnier than the above link (it had a whole unedited paragraph and no one sentence had anything to do with the others, making one think the speaker had the attenion span of a four year old). But then I googled \"bush open mic msn\" and a few variations on that and it didn\'t come up. I looked for an archive on the msn.com site but couldn\'t find any. Does Microsoft (or NBC) have some kind of agenda? Are they getting leaned on? Or am I just too dumb to find these articles a second time?
Or is it that news websites commonly edit their articles after a certian period, and what I was looking for just coincidentaly got editied out? The thing is, when one tries to see the current Administration as anything resembling competent, just, or operating in the public interest, one invariably keeps coming back to these \'coincidences\' to support his arguments. They disparage as \'Conspiracy Theory\' any, for example, reexamination of 9/11. I would say that maybe these excuses good upstanding conservatives make for the current Administration could be termed \'Coincidence Theory.\' For example, it would be \'Coincidence Theory\' to say it was only coincidental that on 9/11 the bin Ladens were flown back to Saudi while every other plane in the United States was grounded.
